I am a pensions actuary and consultant providing trusteeship, investment advisory and actuarial services to occupational pension schemes and providing expert witness advice in respect of such matters.

I am accredited as a professional trustee via the APPT (i.e. an Accredited Member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees). I am also qualified as

• a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (1989)
• a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (1995)

Until 2005 I was a partner in, and the head of the national actuarial practice of, one of the leading UK firms of actuaries and was their senior actuary. My work involved acting as Scheme Actuary to a number of UK schemes with assets of between £25 million and £3 billion and providing actuarial and pensions advice to various employers including FTSE-100 companies.

I have also acted as expert witness in high court actions, mediations and arbitrations.
